Awara Kindness

Awara Kindness 2021.10.19 / 20
 ⁇
The two most famous words these days are "The most beautiful stairs in the world", "The way to the heavenly world" We started our journey on the most beautiful stairs in the world in a slightly different way.  It's a journey we 've been talking about for a long time, and this is the season to go, to give a good start, and the first leg of everyone's journey.  The journey also includes a coder.

The journey begins at the end of a small village estate, across the Murray Estate, across the Rajamale from Sandagalatenna to the top floor.  Most people have never been this way before.  But a lot of people had gone this route this weekend.

Rough Road (5km from Castlereagh Dam to Murray Estate)
 (Fishing Hunt 6Km from Rajamale)
 (12km from Fishinghunt to Mahagiridamba)
The entire jungle trek takes about 15-18 km.

Also, there are three main ways to worship Sri Pada
  (1) Ratnapura Sri Palabaddala Road 13km
  (2) Kuruwita Adavikanda road 14Km
  (3) Hatton Nallathanniya Road 7Km

 In addition, Fishing Hunt Paradise Falls Road, as by-roads;
 Dehenakanda Mukkuwatta Road,
 Deraniyagala Udamaliboda Road,
Rajamale Sandagalatenna Road as I was asked.  There may be more jungle roads.

We all love to go on Awara and it is a great honor to be able to go on Awara pilgrimage.  You have to be prepared before that.  We could not have imagined that we would go on another journey.  Because at the end of the day, we do not have the existence of this great world that worships the forest dwellers, the gods in charge of this site, the animals, all the gods who are there for the protection of the Buddha Sasana.  In order to go on that journey we have to be "pe" properly which means we have to be "clean" not only the body but also both the mind and the heart have to be clean.  Also, we should not eat meat for at least a week..or we will get only a few frames on our way.

We've heard a lot about Sri Pada and I'm right if I say Ping Bima full of miracles.  No hassle for this place for any reason.  The reason for this is that the site is protected by Sumana Saman Devottama.  Sumana Saman Devottamayan is a very pious person who was born during the time of Lord Buddha.  After the Supreme Buddha came to Sri Lanka and performed the good deed thinking that the best place to touch his feet was the Samanola mountain, Sumana Saman was responsible for protecting this sacred place.  The reason for this is that this virtuous person who understood the great Dhamma of the Supreme Buddha, named Sovan Vee Sumana, was born in the heavens and protected the Buddha Sasana by making Sri Pada his site and making sure that no harm was done.  With the stories we have heard, all this is not based on a true myth.

So, when we talk about Sri Pada, if we talk about our journey, even someone who has never been to Awara can be fascinated by seeing these pictures.  But traveling on the beach is not an easy task.  If so, pay close attention to these things.

The journey will be successful if trees, landslides, lightning, flash floods, overflows, wildlife hazards, incessant leprosy attacks, and especially the infrastructure itself can be prepared for these things.

A lot of people ask if there is even a food stall.  There are no shops or human settlements on the beach.  We went on a Poya day so a limited number of people came to pay their respects.  There are no lights at night and the lights are not on as usual, the ambalam is dirty and there is no place to stay.  Some snakes can be found frozen in the cold.  There is no one to help.  So you have to carry all the essentials.

We also spent the night at a checkpoint in Needlepoint.  It too had fallen into disrepair and had been soaking wet in the sun and rain for six months that it took more than an hour to clean up.  Also, if you are coming from the jungle, you have to be very careful, especially if you have leech socks that can be used separately from leeches.  Inexperienced people have to think about travel but there is no problem if anything can work

We must always remember that the season does not belong to us but to the flora and fauna as well as to the gods.  Whenever possible you should not carry unwanted items.  Our eyes were really blessed to see those beautiful names in the off season.  Do not destroy the environment to see only that beautiful.  If you do, you are indebted to this earth as well

Also, we cannot see life confined to one frame. We have to turn our lives in different directions.
Enjoy seeing this beauty before leaving this life but in a good way.
Have fun as much as you can, help everyone.
Also try walking everywhere you can.  No one can take the mental pleasure that the mind feels and can do it on its own.

 This is our weekend trip
 Congratulations, everyone
